Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1944). "I've got it! Remember the story of the three bears?... Well why can't we do the same thing!" says Papa Bear to Mama Bear and his son Junior. An incredible and rare rough, preliminary animation drawing of the Three Bears as they sit at the table, pondering. A second drawing of a porridge-eating Bugs Bunny, from this same film, is also included in the lot, from the scene where Bugs arrives at the cabin and eats the carrot soup, that was intended for Goldilocks. Both drawings are done in graphite and both are framed. Mat openings measure 11.5" x 7.75" on the Three Bears, and 8" x 8" on Bugs, with the soup. Both are in Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
