DescriptionBugs Bunny & Hippety Hopper Painting Signed by Charles McKimson (Warner Brothers Studio, 1980s). A one-of-a-kind painting of Bugs Bunny riding in the pouch of Hippety Hopper's mother. Bugs and Mother Hopper measure approximately 7.25". Hand inked and painted on cold-press watercolor paper, the characters and the desert setting have been trimmed out and applied to a 12" x 9" sheet of blue pantone paper. This artwork is signed Warner Brothers animator -- Charles McKimson (1914 - 1999), brother of long-time Warner Brothers Animation director and creator of Hippety and his mother -- Robert McKimson Sr. (1910 -- 1977). Charles began his career in animation at Leon Schlesinger Productions as a member of Tex Avery's unit. McKimson left the studio during World War II. Upon his return he was assigned to his brother Robert's unit, where he worked as a lead animator. This piece was created as art for sale in galleries. Basic handling; Fine condition.
