    Description

Bugs Bunny & Hippety Hopper Painting Signed by Charles McKimson (Warner Brothers Studio, 1980s). Incredible, one-of-a-kind painting of Bugs Bunny casing Hippety Hopper through the desert. Bugs and Hippety both measure approximately 5" tall. Painted on 9" x 11.25" sheet of cold-press watercolor paper, this signed artwork is by the late Warner Brothers animator -- Charles McKimson (1914 - 1999), brother of long-time Warner Brothers Animation director and creator of Hippety -- Robert McKimson (1910 - 1977). Charles began his career in animation at Leon Schlesinger Productions as a member of Tex Avery's unit. McKimson left the studio during World War II. Upon his return he was assigned to his brother Robert's unit, where he worked as a lead animator. This piece was created as art for sale in galleries. A letter of authenticity from Charles' nephew Robert McKimson Jr. is included. There is a small numeric notation in pencil on the back of the painting in the lower right corner. In Fine condition.
