Broom-Stick Bunny "Beautiful" Witch Hazel Animation Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1956). This rare 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing of Witch Hazel transformed into a buxom red-haired cutie has a neat backstory. Legendary voice actress June Foray's first time working for Warner Brothers was on this short, voicing the witch; it was also her first time with director Chuck Jones, who would become a lifelong friend. In the short, Bugs Bunny brings Hazel a cup of "tea" made with the witch's beauty elixir, causing the ugly old crone to suddenly look like... June Foray! This was in fact a deliberate caricature of June as she looked at the time, a fact underscored by having Milt Franklin's orchestra strike up "Oh, You Beautiful Doll" after her change. Wild! See this image at the 6:29 mark in the short. The art is in graphite and red pencil, with a figure size of 7", including her now ill-fitting witch's hat. The number 39 is written in the lower right corner. In Very Good condition with minor handling wear and a small crease in the lower left corner.Auction Info
