    Brave Little Tailor Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938).
    This is a fantastic vintage drawing of Mickey Mouse from the short, Brave Little Tailor. In this short subject film produced by Walt Disney and released on 9/23/38, Mickey, the tailor, kills "seven (flies) with one blow." Townspeople, thinking that Mickey is talking about giants, not flies, rumors spread and the King sends him out to kill one, and offers him the hand of the Princess Minnie in return. Walt Disney provided the voice for Mickey while Minnie was voiced by Marcellite Garner who started at Disney as a cel painter in the Ink and Paint Department. The drawing offered in this lot was rendered in graphite on 12 field animation paper. The piece has animator's note in red pencil and a studio stamp indicating "Art Props RM14 SC.23A." The drawing is in a 21" x 18" frame with a mat opening of 11" x 8.5". The frame also contains a placard reading "Mickey Mouse Original Production Drawing Brave Little Tailor 1938." The frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
