Description

Brave Little Tailor Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). "Well, so long. I'll be seeing you... I hope." The Burt Gillett and Bill Roberts-directed short Brave Little Tailor was based off the 1812 tale by the Brothers Grimm and cast Mickey in one of his greatest roles as the titular tailor. Now that brave little tailor appears in the 12 field animation drawing in this lot and is ready to be added to a discerning fan's collection! The short was originally released on 9/23/1938 with Mickey trying to win the approval of Minnie and her father by telling a tall tale about how he had vanquished multiple giants before. Unfortunately for him, the king believes his story and sends our unlikely hero off to defeat the giant that has been threatening the kingdom. Mickey panics as soon as the gate shuts and tries to get someone to let him back in, angrily banging on the doors at around 4:02 until the crowd - and, more importantly, Minnie - cheer him on. It's only then that he realizes the only way is forward. The mouse is nicely centered on the paper at about 4.5'' x 4.5'' and is numbered 53 in the lower right corner. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear.
