Boris and Natasha Gag Drawing plus Jay Ward Coney Island Film Festival Memorabilia Group (Jay Ward, c. 1960s). An original gag drawing of Rocky and Bullwinkle's favorite villains is the highlight of this eclectic group. The drawing concerns June's husband Hobart, referred to here as "Hobe," who was in the hospital; Natasha says, "Boris, dollink... that will HELP Hobe's kidney?" to which Boris, holding a tribal mask, replies, "Certainly... is guaranteed to scare the piss out of him!" Graphite drawing is on a sheet of 12 field animation paper, with numerous edge tears; in Fair condition. Also included is a treasure trove of memorabilia concerning Jay Ward's 1963 Coney Island Film Festival, which kicked off his Fractured Flickers series of dubbed silent films. An invitation, program, press releases, newspaper clippings, unused tickets, and various other rare mementos from the September 12, 1963 event are included; average Good condition. As a special bonus, the rare 1962 Son of Sing Along with Bullwinkle booklet, with art by Jay Ward staffer George Atkins, is included; it's in Very Good condition. From the June Foray Collection.
