DescriptionBomber Squad 8 Insignia Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). This group may have been associated with the 8th Bomber Command that flew in the European Theater of World War II in Northern Europe, including France and Germany. This image of a cricket can be seen in the World War II book of Insignia Art called Characters of Military on page 238. This gouache on board Disney Insignia art has a great image size of 7" x 6". One the nicest pieces of studio Insignia Art we have come across. This original studio insignia artwork was displayed at the Palm Springs Air Museum Exhibit in 2004-5, and the Wright Patterson AFB Exhibit as well, in 2006-7. It is in a Plexiglas-front frame measuring 16" x 18" with a mat opening of 8" x 10". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
