Bob Singer Original Illustration for "Quiet on Set" Limited Edition Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1991). This piece is really something special! Limited edition cels are highly coveted, but this piece is even more unique: it is an illustration hand-drawn by Bob Singer for the limited edition cel entitled "Quiet on the Set." Bob Singer was the founder of the Hanna-Barbera character design department, as well as the head of the layout department and later director of publicity. This cel was released over thirty years ago in an edition of only 300 pieces. This drawing, however, is one-of-a-kind, created by Singer while he was designing the piece before the edition was ever put into production. There are fifteen iconic Hanna-Barbera characters on this drawing: Huckleberry Hound, Pixie and Dixie, Barney Rubble, Scooby Doo, Wilma Flintstone, Fred Flintstone, Augie Doggie, Doggie Daddy, Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo, Ranger Smith, Quick Draw McGraw, George Jetson, and Astro. This large drawing is rendered with graphite, with a red pencil border, on 16 field animation paper. The paper is protected with a sheet of acetate, which is affixed on its edges to a backing board. The drawing is signed by Bob Singer in its lower left corner. This incredible drawing is a must-have for any Hanna-Barbera fan, and it is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear, including minor toning, minor smudging, and a tiny cut on the lower edge of the paper.Auction Info
