Bob Doerfler Gag Drawing of Himself and Abe Levitow (Warner Brothers, c. 1940s-50s). Animator Abe Levitow (with the large nose) and in-betweener Bob "The Dorf" Doerfler (buck teeth and cigarette) are shown wearing animal costumes in this rare WB Studio in-house gag drawing. Both men worked in the Chuck Jones animation unit during the 1950s; the costumes probably reflect the project they were working on at the time. Art is in graphite with red pencil on a sheet of 12 field 2-peghole animation paper, with figure sizes of 7" and 6.5". There is edge and handling wear, with some paper toning, but the image area remains clean. Very Good condition.
