Bill Plympton The Simpsons Season 19 DVD Box Set Animation Drawing Group of 14 (Fox, 2019). Presented here is a wild selection of 14 original animation drawings by Bill Plympton created for The Simpsons season 19 DVD box set menu progression. In 2019 Plympton was hired to design the packaging and animated menu for this box set. He currently holds the record for most Simpsons couch gags by a guest director having produced eight between 2012 and 2022. Seen during Disc #2's progression as the family car flies though the air landing on the tongue of a giant snake. The serpent's fangs become embedded in the hood when the it tries to bite the car, causing the snake to thrash frantically in an attempt to free the vehicle. Each of the drawings has been rendered in colored pencil on 12 field 3-peghole paper with sequence numbers found in the lower right. Plympton's signature is featured on drawings numbered 20, 23, and 24. No cels were used in the making of this animated sequence, this is the actual artwork hand-drawn by Bill Plympton and filmed. A print of the DVD boxset cover is included for reference. A favorite of Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Plympton's original artwork from these collaborations is very rare and incredibly desirable to both Simpsons and Plympton collectors. Light handling and edge wear including minor corner creasing and small areas of superficial surface wrinkles, overall Very Good condition.More information about 20th Century Fox Artist.
