Bill Plympton The Simpsons "Homer's Face" Production Drawings Sequence of 3 (Fox, 2018). Here's a sequence of three original animation drawings from The Simpsons couch gag in Episode 13 of Season 29. The episode is titled "3 Scenes Plus a Tag from a Marriage", Plympton titled the couch gag "Homer's Face". Each of these original drawings was used in the filming of this brilliant opening sketch. Mr. Plympton holds the distinction of creating six Simpsons couch gags, more than any guest director. The animated short Your Face that Bill Plympton released in 1987 was nominated for an Academy Award®. In 2018 Mr. Plympton reprised the concept from this popular independent film for a Simpsons couch gag starring Homer. The images averaging 7" x 4.5" are rendered in colored pencil on 12 field 3-peghole paper and numbered 483, 491, and 497 respectively in the lower right corner. Each is signed by the artist, Bill Plympton in graphite. All show minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Fine.From the Bill Plympton Collection - The King of Independent Animation.
