Description

Bill Plympton The Simpsons "Homer's Face" Couch Gag Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Fox, 2018). Homer's head collapses within itself in this trippy opening animation from the hand of Academy Award-nominated animator Bill Plympton. In fact, this Simpsons gag animation is an homage of sorts to Plympton's Your Face short, which was nominated for an Oscar in 1988. Presented is a sequence of three original 12 field animation drawings that appear in sequence "C" around the 0.45 mark on You Tube. It was the opening couch gag for Episode 13 of Season 29 titled "Scenes Plus a Tag from a Marriage." Each drawing is rendered in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field paper and signed by the artist. The nicely centered images measure approximately 7.5" tall and are numbered in sequence 236, 242, and 250. A remarkable set of filmed artwork by the the artist who holds the record for most guest-directed Simpson couch gags. All show minor handling and condition is Very Good.
