Description
Bill Plympton The Simpsons "Couch Gag" Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Fox, 2018). The animated short Your Face that Bill Plympton released in 1987 was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2018 Mr. Plympton reprised the concept from this popular independent film for a Simpsons couch gag starring Homer. This is a sequence of three original animation drawings from this Simpsons couch gag in Episode 13 of Season 29. Each of these original drawings was used in the filming of this brilliant opening sketch. Mr. Plympton holds the distinction of creating six Simpsons couch gags, more than any guest director. The images averaging 7.5" tall are rendered in colored pencil on 12 field 3-peghole paper and numbered 341, 349, and 560 respectively in the lower right corner. Each is signed by the artist, Bill Plympton in graphite. All show minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Fine.From the Bill Plympton - Plymptoons Archives
