Berenstain Bears Calendar January Illustration Original Art (c. 1989). The Bear County family we all love gather around for a warm breakfast on a snowy morning, in this utterly charming calendar illustration. Created by the husband and wife team of Stan and Jan Berenstain, and since continued by their son Mike, the Berenstain Bears have been featured in over 300 popular children's books since their inception in 1962, as well as two animated television series and tons of consumer products over the years. Here we see Mama, Papa, Brother, and Sister all keeping warm on a cold morning. The painting, which is noted as "January" in the lower margin, is in gouache with airbrushed highlights on illustration board measuring 15" x 16", with an image size of 13" x 13". Slight edge wear in the outer borders, otherwise this cute painting is in Fine condition.Auction Info
