Description

Beauty and the Beast The Beast Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1991). This modern-day masterpiece from Disney was the first animated film to be nominated for an Oscar as Best Picture of the Year; it would go on to win Oscars for Best Original Song (the title song) and Best Original Score. The monster with a heart of gold, the Beast, is the subject of this original 16 field animation drawing. Here he is, in his usual growling, angry mood (as seen in the first part of the film, before Belle totally captures his heart). The nicely-detailed art is in graphite and red pencil on 16 field animation paper, with an approximate image size of 12.5" x 9.25". A small plaque with the art tells us this is noted as B-18, from Sequence #07, Scene #68. The drawing is matted with an opening of 17" x 12.25", and is framed with glass for an overall size of 26.75" x 23.25" x 1". The frame is sold as-is. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Howard Lowery. Art is in Fine condition.
