    Description

Beauty and the Beast Book Illustration Preliminary Pages Group (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Rare group of tightly-rendered images in a set of preliminary book layouts. Chip appears to be the star here. There are appearances by Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth the Clock, Lumiére, and Belle, with the storyline revolving around a young bird; we can't say for certain this was ever published. Most of the art is drawn in graphite and blue pencil in 2-page layouts on onionskin paper, with an overall image area measuring 22" x 14". There are six 2-page layouts, plus two separate pages and two revision pages; one page has had images cut and and pasted onto a separate layout. Exceptionally nice, highly-detailed images! Layouts are folded, with handling wear; overall Very Good condition.
