Beauty and the Beast Book Illustration Cel and Master Background (Walt Disney, 1991). "Tale as old as time... true as it can be!" Disney's Beauty and the Beast was the first animated feature film to be nominated for Best Picture by the Academy Awards. This also was one of Disney's first animated projects to use no hand-painted production cels in the making of this film. Any and all production artwork from this film is hard to come by. This is a rare hand-painted book illustration cel of Belle and the Beast in the key ballroom scene in the movie, and it features the memorable rose! It is on its hand-painted Key Master background. Large images of 7" and 8". Framed with Plexiglas and matted with a large opening of 12" x 15". An onionskin paper rough schematic of the layout of the character is also included. Fine condition.
