    Description

Beauty and the Beast Animation Drawings Set of 2 (Walt Disney, 1991). "Aw, you must help her to see past all that." says Mrs. Potts after which the Beast says, through clenched teeth, But she is being so DIFFICULT!" Beauty and the Beast was Disney's 30th animated feature film and the third released during the Disney Renaissance period (1989 - 1999). The film grossed $425 million at the box office and was the first animated film to be nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Picture category. Beauty and the Beast won a Golden Globe for "Best Motion Picture" and the Oscar for "Best Original Song" and "Best Sound." The Disney franchise would go on to produce direct to video sequels, a global Broadway hit play, a critically acclaimed live action hit film, and a remastered version for IMAX in 2002. Included in this lot is an 8" x 10" color photo of Angela Lansbury (Mrs. Potts) and the late Jerry Orbach (Lumière) in the recording sessions for the film. The artwork was created using graphite and blue pencil on 16 field, 3-peghole animation paper. The images measure 8" and 5". These two beautiful animation drawings have minor handling and edge wear; otherwise are in Very Good condition.
