    Description

Barbary Coast Bunny Nasty Canasta Layout Drawing Signed by Chuck Jones (Warner Brothers, 1956). "Pardon me sir, think I'll reconsider and withdrawn my gold. I have a few minor purchases to make." says Bugs Bunny to Nasty Canasta after he has been duped out of his giant gold nugget, found while tunneling around. This is a rare Chuck Jones original layout drawing of Nasty Canasta. It is from the scene where he is humming as he ties the gold to his horse in making his getaway, after swindling Bugs. This was Nasty Canasta's third appearance, after two Daffy Duck cartoons. He was re-designed by Chuck Jones for this Bugs Bunny short, which was released on 7/21/56. Nasty was voiced not by Mel Blanc, but by a rare WB appearance of Daws Butler. Great image, done in graphite with a figure size of 7". The layout is hand-signed and dedicated by Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002); he writes, "for Nasty Jerry from Nasty Canasta -- Chuck Jones." "Nasty Jerry" is longtime story and character development animation legend, Mr. Jerry Eisenberg. The number 2 is written in the bottom right corner. Minor handling wear. In Very Good condition.
