Barbary Coast Bunny Bugs Bunny Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1956). "The moral of this story is don't try to steal no eighteen carrots from no rabbit!" When Nasty Canasta swindles Bugs Bunny out of a huge gold nugget, he goes to San Francisco and opens a crooked gambling den six months later - when a hayseed "sucker" wearing a goofy tall hat walks in and takes him for everything! Here's that "sucker" in a rare original hand-inked and hand-painted 12 field production cel of Bugs playing roulette as seen at about the 4:06 timestamp from this Chuck Jones-directed Looney Tunes shorts. The cartoon was first shown on 7/21/1956. All production cels of Bugs Bunny are incredibly scarce because so much of Warner Brothers animation art had been thrown out, supposedly to make room for a new accountant's office on the WB lot. Fortunately, staffers saved a few items like this! Bugs has an approximate image size of 2.75" x 5.75"; the cel includes a Warner Bros. Pictures copyright sticker below the image. The cel has been placed on a scene-matched print background, added to complete the image. The white paint in his eyes shows some minor separation and small cracks but no paint loss.
