Around the World in 80 Minutes Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1931).
A rare image of Mickey Mouse, rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. The image is taken from a 1931 documentary starring Douglas Fairbanks and directed by Victor Fleming. In this feature-length film, Fairbanks and crew travel to Japan, China, Hong Kong, and other exotic ports; during a stop in Thailand, he brings out Mickey Mouse to dance in both native and American styles in an animated sketch created especially for this film. This is undoubtedly the rarest of all Mickey Mouse film appearances, from early in his historic career. The image of Mickey measures 3.5" tall. The paper is marked 38 in the bottom right corner. The piece is in Good condition.
