    Description

Animal Original Signed Sesame Street Children's Book Art (Jim Henson Publishing, 1999). "Do not touch the paintings at the museum... And never eat them without asking the guard first." Original concept pencil sketch of Animal helping himself to a tasty painting from the Muppet Lift-the-Flap Book - Muppet Manners. This piece is signed by the artist Rick Brown -- longtime Sesame Street Magazine artist who, in the 1980s, became the leading artist for Muppets children's books. The overall image measures approximately 7" x 5" on an 8.25" x 6.25" sheet of tracing paper. The paper has been applied to 12.25 x 9" piece of mat board with 2 small pieces of double-sided tape in the top corners. To add to its provenance, the back of the board includes a hand-written description and an additional signature. Basic handling; otherwise condition is Fine. A close representation of this sketch can be found under the flap on page 7. A color copy of that page is included. This is an exemplary image of Animal behaving exactly as Animal would. All original Muppet artwork is considered rare.
