Description

Alpine Climbers Rare Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1936). Mickey cheerfully yodels as he scales a mountain in the Swiss Alps with Donald and Pluto in this incredibly rare sequence of three from Alpine Climbers. The trio can be found in the opening scene of the short starting at about the 0:22 mark, capturing the mouse with a wide smile as he moves up the dangerous mountainside. These dynamic and detailed drawings range from around 2.5'' x 6.25'' to 4.5'' x 7.25'', centered on the 12 field 5-peghole pages. The drawings are noted as 93 and 21 in the lower right corner. The first number of the last page is 1 and the second includes a timing chart along the right border. The drawings are expertly rendered in graphite with color pencil. There is minor age-related toning with some edge and handling wear. This includes some border tears, small stains, and superficial wrinkles though they are away from the images. Fair condition overall for this wonderful sequence of animation drawings.
