Alice in Wonderland White Rabbit Illustration by David Hall (Walt Disney, 1940). "Oh dear, oh dear, I shall be too late!" says the White Rabbit. Here is a superb David Hall original drawing of the White Rabbit with his pocket watch. Hall began with Walt Disney Studio in 1939, and his first job was providing concept artwork for a future animated project, Alice in Wonderland. He did more than 400 drawings for this early in-development project. Some of his artwork was used in the Disney children's book Walt Disney's Surprise Package in 1944. Many of his Disney drawings were later released in the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, published by Little Simon in 1986. This beautiful drawing is in graphite on 8" x 6" paper, mounted to a 12 field 5-peghole light background board. The artwork is hand-signed by Hall (1905-1964) in the bottom left corner on the board. A photocopy of the book page with the drawing is included.
