    Description

Alice in Wonderland Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1951). "Why, what peculiar little figures!" This set of chubby identical twins originally appeared in the Lewis Carroll book Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, as well as an old English nursery rhyme: "Tweedledum and Tweedledee agreed to have a battle; For Tweedledum said Tweedledee had spoiled his nice new rattle." For the 1951 animated Disney film, their names are often spelled as two words. Here they are in an original 16 field drawing of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum (or is it the other way around?) doing a little dance as they meet Alice. The art is in graphite with a combined overall image size of 5.5" x 5.5". The number 2 is written in the lower right corner. Paper has handling and edge wear, with minor creases and small tears, all away from the image. Good condition.
