Alice in Wonderland Starring Magilla Gorilla Album Cover Illustration and Sealed Record (Hanna-Barbera, 1977). After years of producing record albums on their HBR label, Hanna-Barbera went into a partnership with CBS Records under their "Colombia Special Products" division. Here is the original cover painting to one of those Columbia albums, featuring H-B star Magilla Gorilla. The artwork is in gouache on board; several pieces are trimmed to character and mounted to the painted background, but the pieces contain 100% original artwork. Great hand-painted images, with sizes of 5" and 6". The art is is matted, with an opening size of 13" x 13", and an overall mat size of 18" x 18". This fun illustration even comes with a sealed copy of the record album itself, a "Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera" release, P-13830. The record is sealed in its original shrink-wrap plastic, which is price stickered, along with a "As Advertised" sticker. Very rare to have the original album cover art with the sealed album! Minor handling wear to the art. Very Good condition.Auction Info
