Description
Aladdin Jafar Animation Drawing by Disney Legend Andreas Deja (Walt Disney, 1992). "Genie, my second wish... I wish to be the most powerful sorcerer in the world!" Genie is now forced to obey Jafar's wishes and things are looking bleak for Aladdin and Jasmine now that he's wished to become the most powerful sorcerer. He makes his second wish in the enormous 16 field animation drawing in this lot, rendered in graphite with color pencil and created by Disney Legend Andreas Deja. Deja joined the studio in 1980 and the first feature film he worked on was The Black Cauldron. He has since worked on The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, and more while supervising the animation of popular characters like Gaston, Scar, Hercules, and even Jafar. The villain measures about 13.25'' x 11.75'' on the page and was created for the scene at roughly 1:12:16 when Jafar, now in his Sultan attire after using his first wish, asks Genie to make him the strongest sorcerer so he can force Jasmine and her father to kneel before him. The page is numbered 223 in the lower right and is a menacing depiction of the villain worthy of your Disney villain collection.
