Al Dempster Gold Mine Randsburg Painting Original Art (1950-60s). Al Dempster (1911-2001) was a 2006 Disney Legends Inductee for his long career at Disney from approximately 1939 to 1973. He was a premier studio background painter as well as a contributing artist to the Disney Golden Book series in the 1950s. This painting features the California Old West and is titled on the back with another hand-titled notation that reads "at Randsburg, California", and it is signed on the front. The painting is from the personal archives of fellow Disney Legends Inductee "Stormy" Norman Palmer. It was purchased at an Employee Art Show at the Disney Studio and still bears the original price of $65 on the backside. The 18" x 14" acrylic on Masonite painting has an unusual and eye-catching wooden frame that measures 27"x 23". In Fine condition.
