African Diary Original Storyboards Group of 8 (Walt Disney, 1945).
After run-ins with a sundry of animals and after camping for the night Goofy is taking his morning plunge which is ruined by a hippopotamus that takes all the water with him when exiting the pool, he sets off in search of the black rhinoceros. Unfortunately for Goofy, the rhinoceros is prepared thanks to a stool pigeon bird resting on his horn. From African Diary we have a spectacular assortment of eight storyboards. Each piece was rendered in charcoal on paper affixed to 12 field 5-peghole animation paper using tape. Each page has typed notes indicating the action for that shot. Storyboards are used as a graphic portrayal of how the film will unfold, shot by shot. It's made up of a number of illustrations representing each shot, and may have dialog or notes about what's going on in the scene during that shot. The artwork shows age-related toning and tape yellowing. Otherwise, Very Good condition.
