    Description

    Aerology Series - Thunderstorms Layout Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, 1943). An original Disney World War II propaganda film layout drawing, centered on a sheet of 16 field 5-peghole animation paper. It showcases WWII fighter planes, flying in a battle. There are extensive notes to the Special Effects department on lightning, clouds, and mist, plus detailed notes on cel overlays that would be required. Art is in graphite and dark blue pencil, with notes in red and blue; actual art image size is 9" x 7". This was "Part 6" of a series of training films that the Walt Disney Company did for the US Navy. A fantastic and extremely rare look into the 1940s war efforts of the Disney Studios. Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition.
