Æon Flux Animation Drawing Group of 6 (MTV, c. 1990s). Presented in this lot are six animation drawings from the cult-classic MTV animated series Æon Flux showcasing wonderful images of the daring protagonist Aeon. Created by the visionary Peter Chung, the show stood out from its western contemporaries by its intricate plots told with a novel approach to visual storytelling adorned by Chung's iconic art style. The six drawings in this lot include three correction drawings done in yellow animation sheets. Two of the drawings were created on Mook Animation sheets, a Japanese studio known for its involvement with western shows like Biker Mice from Mars, Todd McFarlane's Spawn, and Street Sharks, among many others. These great portraits of Aeon are created with graphite, with some showing details in colored pencil. The drawings are numbered B15, 191, B1, and C447, with two unnumbered drawings. Drawing 191 presents some tone tape on the bottom edge. Some residue paint from production and residue paint is present on drawing B15. C447 and the two unnumbered drawings show staple holes in the top right corner. Overall, the lot shows some handling and edge wear from production. Condition is Good to Very Good.
