Description
Aaahh!!! Real Monsters Ickis, Gromble, Krumm, and Oblina Animation Drawing Group of 4 (Nickelodeon, c. 1990s). The most spooky, horrific, and hilarious monsters in Nickelodeon are showcased in this lot from the Nicktoon series Aaahh!!! Real Monsters featuring four remarkable animation drawings showcasing great images of our main characters Ickis, Krumm, and Oblina, accompanied by their fearsome teacher, Gromble. Created by Peter Gaffney and Gábor Csupó, of Klasky-Csupo fame, the animated show was created after the overwhelming success of Rugrats, produced in the same studio. Csupó took inspiration from his kids being fascinated with monsters at the time and, aided by Gaaffney, created a comically gross and hilariously spooky show. Ickis is presented showing his fangs in the animation drawing numbered C7 in the bottom right corner, featuring the iconic character measuring a fantastic figure size of 8.75" x 9" done in graphite with colored pencil details. The smelly Krumm shows up in the drawing B-8, with the hairy character pointing with one hand and holding his eyes in the other one, rendered in graphite with colored pencil details, measuring 6.5" x 5.25", and presenting animator notes in the top right corner. Oblina picks up a snack in drawing O-4, as the lead female monster prepares to eat a tasty bug measuring a figure size of 4.25" x 6.75", rendering the character and her treat with graphite and blue pencil. We wouldn't want to be in Ickis shoes in drawing A3, as we see the dreadful Gromble holding the nervous Ickis by the ears with a fantastic image size of 9" x 9.5. The four animation drawings bear the Nickelodeon logo embossed on the 12-field animation sheets, and the lot comes with four Certificates of Authenticity. Drawings C7, O-4, and A3 show some paint residue from production. The lot is overall in Very Good condition with light handling wear from production.Auction Info
