"The Golden Touch" Good Housekeeping Illustrations by Tom Wood (Walt Disney, 1934). This Silly Symphony short, released on 3/22/35, was the first cartoon to be directed by Walt Disney since 1929! Albert Hurter wrote the story; Fred Moore and Norm Ferguson handled the animation chores. Here is a set of superb illustrations based on the short, created in advance of the release date. It appeared as the Disney page in the November 1934 issue of Good Housekeeping, some four months before the cartoon hit theaters. Art for all six panels and title board was beautifully painted in gouache on board by Tom Wood, and matted together. King Midas appears in all six vibrantly colored panels. Framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 29" x 36". Fine condition.
