Description"The Art of Retta Scott" Houseboat Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1950-60s). After leaving the Walt Disney Studios, Retta Scott (1916 - 1990) married a Submarine Commander, Ben Worcester. She became a military wife who lived as well as traveled to many places. She seemed to love to create watercolor paintings of scenic areas where she lived and vacationed. This is a stunning Retta Scott original of a houseboat on a river. The colors of the boat against the sky and mountains are beautiful. This Disney Legend Inductee was a great artist in her own right. She sold her work to local galleries wherever she lived. This painting is unsigned and untitled, and comes from the Retta Scott Family Archives. Watercolor on light board of 20" x 14". Minor handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Very Good. From the Reta Scott Archives.
