    Description

"The Art of Retta Scott" Flowers Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1950-60s). Retta Scott (1916 - 1990) was inducted as a Disney Legend in 2000. When she married a Navy Submarine Commander, she became a military wife and lived in many locales. She lived in Hawaii, Connecticut, and Northern California to name a few. She also was an extensive traveler. Wherever she lived, she always painted watercolors and sold them in local galleries and art shows. She had quite a following in Hawaii. In Hawaii she painted landscape scenes and also close-up images of flowers. This is a stunning example of her watercolor paintings of flowers. What an array of color! Painted on watercolor board of 23" x 15.5". The painting is untitled and unsigned, but comes directly from the Retta Scott Family Estate. Minor handling and edge wear. Overall Very Good condition. From the Reta Scott Archives.
