"The Art of Lee Blair" Watercolor Study Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1930s). Lee Blair (1911 - 1993), husband of Mary Blair, was one of the leading artists in the 1930's California Water Color artist movement. This is a very early watercolor study done from the hand of Lee Blair, a detailed painting showing people having a picnic, painted on board measuring 10" x 8". The size indicates it may have been a preliminary painting for a larger one he had in mind. The study is unsigned and untitled. It comes directly to us from the Mary Blair Family Trust. Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition.
