    Description

"The Art of Lee Blair" Watercolor Study Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1930s). Lee Blair (1911 - 1993), husband of Mary Blair, was one of the leading artists in the 1930's California Water Color artist movement. This is a very early watercolor study done from the hand of Lee Blair, a detailed painting showing people having a picnic, painted on board measuring 10" x 8". The size indicates it may have been a preliminary painting for a larger one he had in mind. The study is unsigned and untitled. It comes directly to us from the Mary Blair Family Trust. Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition. From the Mary Blair Family Trust.
