"The Art of Elmer Plummer" Original Watercolor Painting (Walt Disney, 1938). This is an Elmer Plummer (1910 - 1986) original watercolor painting titled, Mr. Willis - Decorator. Elmer Plummer is an award-winning Fine Art painter with a long and distinguished career at the Walt Disney Studios. His work includes Dumbo, Fantasia, and Song of the South, to name just a few. Elmer caught the attention of Walt Disney most likely because of the awards and accolades he received for his paintings as part of the California Water Color Society. This lot demonstrates his immense talents as a watercolor painter. This piece was shown at the Denver Art Museum, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Philadelphia Water Color Club. His entry tags are on the back of the painting. The two entry tags show how widely his artwork was being exhibited, and at such an early age, Elmer was only 28! The piece is hand-signed with the year '38. The painting is in a 21" x 18" Plexiglas-front frame with a mat opening of 13" x 10". The title of the painting is on the artwork and matted to display in the frame. Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Fine condition. From the Elmer Plummer Archives.Auction Info
