"The Art of Art Riley" Sea Otter Comic Illustration Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1960s). Art Riley (1911 - 1998) was a Disney Legend and background artist who worked on such films as Pinocchio, Fantasia, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, and Mary Poppins, as well as many others. He was well known for his beautiful paintings inspired by some of the Disney Classics he worked on, as well as the occasional "left field" piece like this whimsical portrait of an otter family as the enjoy an underwater feast. The artwork is in graphite and color pencils on paper measuring 14" x 10.5". The back is stamped "The Estate of Art Riley" with 7-40 written in blue marker. Tape on bottom corners, with minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.Auction Info
