Description"The Art of Art Riley" Holiday "Mittens and Mufflers" Painting (Walt Disney, c. 1940s/50s). Arthur "Art" Riley (1911 - 1998) painted stunning production backgrounds for Walt Disney Studios for over 30 years. He also was an award-winning artist on his own right. He was a member of both the California Watercolor Society and the American Water Color Society. Many of his exhibited works were paintings inspired by scenes around his Burbank home, as well as his second home on the Monterey Peninsula. This is a holiday painting that looks like it may have been for a holiday gift card. It is hand-titled by Mr Riley "Mittens and Mufflers." Art is painted in gouache on lightweight board measuring 15.5" x 12.5", with a painted area of 15.5" x 8.5". The artwork is hand-signed by the artist on bottom right corner. It is also stamped on the reverse "The Estate of Art Riley." Minor handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Very Good.
