"Magical Maestro" Illustration Original Art by Bob Singer (MGM, c. 1990s). Opera star The Great Poochini finds himself going through some odd changes when Mysto the Magician substitutes himself for the concert conductor, in this very funny 1952 Tex Avery-directed cartoon. Here's animation artist Bob Singer's version of some of Poochini's abrupt changes during his Barber of Seville number -- Indian chief, ballet dancer, a little boy with a balloon (singing "A-Tisket, A-Tasket" in a Shirley Temple-like voice) and after Mysto throws a cymbal on his head, Chinese! The art is in ink and watercolor on deckled edge paper, with an image area measuring 7.5" x 6.75". The art is floated on a plush mat measuring 20" x 16". Fine condition.
