Description
"Fox and Blackbird" Original Art Acrylic on Board by Ralph Hulett (c. 1960s). A terrific original painting by Disney's long-time background painter Ralph Hulett (1915 - 1974). This is a fun depiction of a fox and a crow with cheese. The artwork is from an unknown production. The painting is mixed media; gouache and Conté crayon with a fixative on 16" x 12" illustration board by Hulett who has signed the piece. Hulett was a renowned background painter at Disney whose impressive credits include: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Sleeping Beauty (1959), and Lady and the Tramp (1955). Hulett worked with all the greats during his four-decade-long career at Disney including; Mary Blair, Eyvind Earle, Gustaf Tenggren, Claude Coats, the "Nine Old Men" and of course Walt Disney-himself! This gorgeous painting exhibits light edge wear and is in Very Good condition.From the Disney Background Artist Ralph Hulett Archives.
