Description
X-Men: The Animated Series "The Unstoppable Juggernaut" Storm and Cyclops Pair of Original Production Cel (Marvel Productions, 1993). "Didn't my worthless brother tell you it's no use?" The unrelenting Juggernaut taunts to the X-Men team that their efforts are futile as Cyclops tells Storm to drop a building onto his head in this hand-painted cel. Originally aired on 3/6/1993 as Episode 8 of Season 1, one day the X-Men return home to their mansion only to discover that it has been destroyed, and Professor X is missing. They notice some obvious tracks that lead their search to a gigantic supervillain who has been bestowed with magical abilities that allow him to be literally unstoppable! The small, but very intimate detail about these two mutant stepbrothers was revealed very early in X-Men #12 and has been a core aspect of these two characters. This episode features the first appearances of Juggernaut (Cain Marko) and Colossus (Piotr Rasputin). Both production cels can be seen approximately at the 16:20 timestamp of the episode but compared to the show, their images here showcase a clearer half-figure for the two leaders of the X-Men making it an excellent item for any X-Men enthusiast. The leader of Blue Team, Cyclops measures at 7.5" x 8.25" while the leader of Gold Team measures at 7.5" x 9.25" and both are displayed over a scene matching print background for presentation purposes.
