Description
X-Men: The Animated Series "Sanctuary Part II" Gambit, Professor X, and Beast Original Production Cel (Marvel Studios, 1995). "I believe the proper expression is, 'Feet don't fail me now!" Gambit and Professor X are figuring a way out of their dilemma while Beast attempts to lighten the mood with some poetic language as they are being swarmed by assassins in this hand-painted multilayered cel. Originally aired on 10/28/1995 as Episode 7 of Season 4, this episode sees Magneto's haven for all mutant kind, Asteroid M, has failed and is plummeting towards Earth. Though, a hidden enemy sees this as an opportunity to take control of the asteroid so he can send hundreds of missiles to the surface of Earth and now the X-Men must take it upon themselves to stop the asteroid from destroying the Earth. This piece is a remarkable item to add to any X-Men enthusiast's collection since we are approaching the episode's 30th Anniversary and this is the very first frame of the episode seen at 2:00 timestamp. The combined character image for Beast, Gambit, and Professor X measures 12.25" x 8" and is displayed over a scene matching print background for presentation purposes.
