Description
X-Men: The Animated Series "Reunion - Part One" Wolverine and Mr. Sinister Original Production Cel (Marvel Studios, 1994). "Keep your distance, little man." Presented here in this hand-painted cel are Mr. Sinister and the Nasty Boys who happen to be in a hurry to escape with Jean Grey's body before they can be stopped by the most ferocious mutant - Wolverine. Originally aired on 2/12/1994 as Episode 12 of Season 2, Professor X and Magento are trapped in the Savage Land without their powers as they are ambushed by mutates, meanwhile Morph manipulates the X-Men to have an encounter with the scheming Mr. Sinister. This marks the first X-Men episode released after the death of the original co-creator Jack Kirby (1917-1994) which debuted over 30 years ago! The master schemer Mr. Sinister was created by Marvel Comics alumni Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri making his first full appearance in The Uncanny X-Men #221. Logan aka Wolverine was created by writer Len Wien (1948-2017) and artist John Romita Sr. (1930-2023) for The Incredible Hulk #181 where he made his first full appearance. The combined character image measures 10" x 6.75" and is displayed over a scene matching, print background for presentation purposes. Though the characters here are nearly full-figured in their action poses compared to their show's counterpart. The 3-peg hole cel image of Wolverine and Mr. Sinister clashing can be seen at the 12:28 timestamp of the episode with an added SFX into the frame.
