X-Men: The Animated Series "Enter Magneto" Beast and Magneto Production Cel (Marvel Studios, 1992). "And he would leave you to rot in prison?!" Magneto is baffled by Beasts reluctance to escape prison in this wonderful hand-painted production cel. Created for Season 1 of X-Men: The Animated Series "Enter Magneto" originally released November 27, 1992. The episode was dedicated to showing the complex history of Charles Xavier and Magneto, using a previously imprisoned Beast to showcase the heart of the conflict between the two leaders, fighting for mutant rights with reason or with fists. Seen at about 4:24 timestamp, when Magneto first attempts to break Beast out of prison, only to be surprised by his unwillingness to be liberated. Magneto and Beast measure a combined image of about 11" x 7.75" nicely filling the space of the 2-layered 12 field cel setup, which is displayed on a print background that matches the scene from the sequence with white artist tape. Overall, this piece is in Very Good condition with light handling wear and minor surface debris.Auction Info
