DescriptionWoody Woodpecker Production Cel on Production Background with Animation Drawing (Walter Lantz, c. 1960s). This super set-up features an original hand-inked hand painted Woody Woodpecker in full figure measuring 3" tall on a 12-field production cel with a handwritten Walter Lantz Productions copyright in the lower left corner. The cel is over an original studio hand-painted production background which is marked 3001 BG 230. It is painted in gouache on 3-peghole background board. Along with the cel and background setup is the original animation drawing rendered in graphite and red pencil on 3-peghole animation paper and numbered C1 in the lower right corner. The two pieces share a common mat with dual openings of 9" x 12" with an overall measurement of 32" x 14". The lot shows light handling and condition is Very Good.
