Woody Woodpecker Green-Eyed Woody Production Cel (Walter Lantz, c. 1950s). Woody Woodpecker first appeared in the Andy Panda short Knock Knock in 1940. He went on to become Walter Lantz's biggest star. He had great large green eyes, but they went away around 1955, in a new design. This is a great large hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Woody Woodpecker, with GREEN eyes. This is one of the best pure green-eyed Woody cels we have seen, with a nice large image measuring 9". The cel is on a print background for presentation purposes, and is hand-signed by Walter Lantz (1899 - 1994). Framed with glass for an overall size of 19" x 17"; matted with an opening of 10" x 8". Frame is sold as-is; cel condition is Very Good.
