Woodland Cafe Color Model/Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Wilfred Jackson directed this Silly Symphony short that featured big band music of the time. The Bugs dance to "Everybody's Truckin'" and a French "Apache Dance" in this short. This is an outstanding color model/animation drawing of the bugs bumping into each other during a fast paced dance. You can see this image around the 2:05 mark. It's rendered in graphite with an array of colored pencils and a plethora of ink and paint codes. One thing that separated Disney from many other studios was it's vast color palette. The average cartoon used up to six colors while Disney cartoons may have used as many as 35. This detailed model with Ink and Paint Department call out codes is a piece of history. Great images measuring 5" and 6". Minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.
